Body of Missing Man Found in Unfinished Building in Shoumen, Bulgaria

The search for 26-year-old Alexander Penchev has been suspended after his body was discovered in an unfinished building in the Boyan Bulgaranov quarter of Shoumen, Bulgaria, on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

Authorities were conducting search operations when they inspected the building and found Penchev’s lifeless body on the top floor. A pre-trial proceeding has been initiated, and an examination was carried out in the presence of a medical examiner.

As of this report, there are no indications of foul play. The cause of death will be determined following the completion of an autopsy.
