Cable News Ratings Report: Week of November 24, 2025
This is TVNewser’s basic cable network ranker and cable news report for the week of November 24, 2025.
All three cable news networks experienced double-digit declines in both total viewers and the Adults 25-54 demographic during Thanksgiving week, as viewership shifted towards family gatherings, shopping, and sports.
NETWORKS:
According to Nielsen big data + panel, Fox News averaged 1.58 million total viewers and 129,000 A25-54 viewers during primetime. This represents a -26% decrease in total viewers and a -32% drop in the demo compared to the week beginning November 17.
Fox News averaged 1.162 million total viewers and 97,000 A25-54 viewers in total day viewing,down -16% in total viewers and -20% in the demo from the previous week.
Fox News maintained its second-place position in total primetime viewership but fell to fifth in demo viewership among all basic cable networks. In total day viewing, it remained in first place for total viewers and second place in the total day demo.
MSNBC averaged 718,000 total viewers and 59,000 A25-54 viewers during primetime for the week.This was a -29% decrease in total viewers and a -34% drop in the demo compared to the prior week’s average.
During total day viewing, MSNBC averaged 492,000 total viewers and 44,000 demo viewers, declining -24% in total viewers and -27% in the demo compared to the previous week.
Among all basic cable networks, MSNBC slipped from third to fourth in total primetime viewers and from 12th to 25th (tied with BET) in demo viewership.It also dropped from third to fourth in total day viewers and from ninth to 16th (tied with Paramount) in the total day demo.
CNN averaged 410,000 total primetime viewers and 60,000 A25-54 viewers during primetime for the week of November 24. This represents a -28% decrease in total viewers and a -42% drop in the demo compared to the previous week.
In total day viewing, CNN had 376,000 total viewers and 54,000 demo viewers, resulting in decreases of -16% in total viewers and -26% in the demo.
Among all cable networks, CNN dropped from fifth to tenth place in total primetime viewers and from eighth to 24th in the demo. It slid from fourth to fifth place in total day viewers and from fourth to 12th (tied with HGTV) in the demo.
