According to Modus Games, Celestial Ruins drops players into a perilous fantasy realm packed with sprawling maps, aggressive hordes of monsters, and formidable bosses. The title supports up to four players in online co-op, encouraging squad-based tactics as groups battle through traps and loot treasure-laden chambers. Players select from a roster of distinct classes, each equipped with specialized abilities, magic spells, and melee skill trees designed to complement different playstyles.
Crackpot Studios integrated robust town-upgrading mechanics into the core gameplay loop. Between harrowing dungeon runs, adventurers return to a central hub to spend gold and resources on rebuilding structures, unlocking potent passive buffs, and purchasing better gear.
