Angers SCO and FC Lorient shared the points in a 0-0 draw at Stade Raymond-Kopa on Sunday, October 25, during Round 8 of the Ligue 1 McDonald’s season.
The match marked the second weekend in a row for the SCO at Raymond-Kopa. In a first half that remained largely closed, the hosts manufactured the opening threat when Amine Sbaï forced a corner with a shot stopped by the Lorient goalkeeper. Stéphane Gilli’s side tested the visitors primarily through long-range attempts before both teams entered halftime locked at 0-0.
Following the interval, Haris Belkebla replaced Yassin Belkhdim in the Angers midfield. Angers sustained several attacking pulses and created further chances in the second half, but repeatedly found Lorient goalkeeper Mvogo equal to the task.
The scoreless stalemate lifts Angers SCO to 14th place in the league. Angers returns to Kopa in two weeks to host OGC Nice.
