Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

Eligibility for RGUKT’s 2026 intake requires candidates to have cleared the JEE Main or IIIT entrance exams, with a minimum score of 75% in relevant subjects. The selection process, which includes a 20% weightage for academic performance and 80% for entrance exam scores, was detailed in a statement from the RGUKT admissions office. “We prioritize merit-based admissions to ensure quality education,” the statement said.

For IIIT candidates, the selection list was published separately on the IIIT admissions portal, with 850 students shortlisted for the 2026 academic year. The IIIT board confirmed that the list includes candidates from 22 states, with a 40% representation from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
