Apple Expands Developer Outreach with Latest Bilibili and LinkedIn Accounts Ahead of WWDC 2026

Apple is bolstering its connections with developers in anticipation of the 2026 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. The company has established official Apple Developer accounts on both bilibili and LinkedIn, signaling a strategic move to broaden its reach and engagement within the developer community.

Reaching Developers on New Platforms

The new Apple Developer presence on bilibili, a popular video-sharing platform in China similar to YouTube [MacRumors], will focus on sharing video content. LinkedIn, a professional networking site, will serve as a hub for news, announcements and updates related to WWDC and upcoming “Meet with Apple” events [developer.apple.com]. This expansion builds on Apple’s recent launch of a dedicated ‘Hello Apple’ Instagram account, designed to showcase the creative applications of Apple products [MacRumors].

Bilibili Engagement and Early Traction

Apple Developer has already begun posting content on bilibili, publishing 32 developer-focused videos within 13 hours of joining the platform. This activity has quickly garnered over 17,600 followers and 6,000 likes [9to5Mac]. Although current content centers around WWDC 2025 and iOS 26 technologies, the platform will be instrumental in promoting iOS 27 and other announcements at WWDC 2026 [9to5Mac].

Expanding Social Media Presence

This move is part of a broader trend of Apple increasing its presence on various social media platforms. Prior to joining bilibili, Apple also established a presence on the Chinese social media platform RedNote last fall [9to5Mac]. A verified Apple Developer account was also created on YouTube in 2024, sharing similar content to that found on bilibili [9to5Mac].

WWDC 2026 Anticipation

Apple is expected to formally announce the dates for WWDC 2026 next week, following a similar timeline to last year’s announcement on March 25 [9to5Mac]. The conference is anticipated to be a key event for unveiling iOS 27 and other software innovations.
