Apple launches business platform as Maps ads near rollout Apple today announced Apple Business, a new all-in-one platform designed to help companies of all sizes manage devices, enhance collaboration, and reach local customers. The platform integrates mobile device management, business email and calendar services with custom domain support, and tools to connect with customers through Apple Maps, Mail, Wallet, and Siri. Available starting April 14 in more than 200 countries and regions, Apple Business includes built-in mobile device management that allows businesses to configure employee groups, device settings, security, and apps using Blueprints for quick setup. Companies can also establish business email, calendar, and directory services with their own domain name for seamless communication. A key feature of the platform is its ability to help businesses reach local customers. Beginning this summer in the U.S. And Canada, companies will be able to place local ads in Apple Maps during moments when users are actively searching for businesses like theirs and deciding where to head. The advertising approach emphasizes privacy, using random identifiers that change frequently and avoiding association with individual Apple accounts. Apple Business also offers options for upgraded iCloud storage and AppleCare Plus for Business, along with a dedicated Business app that enables organizations to manage Apple accounts, assign apps and roles, and configure devices across teams. The launch is part of Apple’s broader strategy to grow its services business, which now accounts for approximately a quarter of the company’s annual sales. By unifying device management, communication tools, and customer outreach into a single platform, Apple aims to provide businesses with a secure and simple way to operate and grow using Apple products, and services.
