Argentine Table Tennis Team Ready for South American Youth Games in Panama 2026

The Argentine table tennis team has announced its delegation for the South American Youth Games, set to take place in Panama in April 2026. Four players – Luciana Frías Paz, Alexia Salusso, Agustín Asmu, and Franco Varela – will represent Argentina in the competition.

Qualifying Process

The team members earned their spots through a series of selective tournaments. Competitions were held in Rosario for the women’s branch and in Mirandela, Portugal, for the men’s.

Agustín Asmu shared his experience leading up to the selection, stating, “There were many tournaments and many training sessions until we reached the selective to see who was left for the tournament, luckily I came out first so I am very happy to be able to participate.” He added, “It is always an honor to represent Argentina in international tournaments, so now we have to train to be able to arrive in Panama in the best way.”
