ASUS ROG Cronox GR801 ARGB Launches European Distribution Following CES Debut

The ASUS ROG Cronox GR801 ARGB chassis arrives in European markets in mid-September 2026, priced as a full-tower platform built from the ground up for E-ATX and BTF motherboards. Following its initial global rollout between late June and early July 2026, pctuning.cz reported that the Cronox series stands alongside established lines like Helios and Hyperion with a completely distinct design philosophy. Measuring 584 by 248 by 619 millimeters and weighing 16 kilograms, the chassis features panoramic curved glass across the front and side panels, backed by 1.1-millimeter thick steel framing and 3-millimeter tempered glass panels. The internal structure supports E-ATX motherboards with a maximum width of 277 millimeters, alongside ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX form factors. Storage capabilities include zero internal 5.25-inch bays, one internal 3.5-inch bay, and two plus two internal 2.5-inch bays. The front panel is equipped with two USB 3.2 ports running at 20 Gbps, four USB 3.0 ports, and jacks for headphones and a microphone. The chassis stands on massive metal feet and incorporates stylized cable routing channels, a removable power supply mounting frame, cable management guides and holders, an aluminium profile contrasting with the curved glass, ambient lighting underlining its contours, and two alternative graphics card supports.

Engineering Airflow and Hardware Capacities Across Fourteen Fan Mounts

A patented swiveling side bracket allows builders to adjust airflow dynamics for individual component layouts. Internal clearances accommodate graphics cards up to 400 millimeters in length, CPU coolers up to 180 millimeters in height, and power supplies up to 200 millimeters long, complemented by 360-millimeter radiator support on both the ceiling and side panels, plus dual 120-millimeter radiator support at the rear.

Integrating the Rotatable LCD Dashboard and Red Dot Design Recognition

An internal 9.2-inch LCD module operating at 60 Hz mounts on a rotatable bracket to display real-time system metrics, including temperatures, clock speeds, memory usage, network statistics, and world time, alongside a notification mode for custom text. This integrated display system contributed to the chassis winning a Red Dot Award in 2026 for its cohesive construction and unified architectural elements. The hardware ecosystem spans eight distinct regional variants encompassing black and white color options, solid steel or dual-glass side panels, and bundled or omitted ARGB fan configurations, anchored by foundational models comprising the Cronox without fans and the Cronox ARGB featuring fans, both utilizing a single-piece bent glass side panel.
