On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, Vienna police responded to reports of a burning vehicle and found the body of a 21-year-old man in the backseat of a black Mercedes with Ukrainian license plates. An autopsy revealed signs of “massive force blunt trauma,” suggesting the victim died before the car was set ablaze with gasoline.

Suspects and Motive

The two suspects, aged 19 and 45, were arrested on Saturday in Ukraine. Police believe the motive to be greed, as withdrawals from the victim’s cryptocurrency wallet were detected and a significant amount of cash was seized from the suspects.

Investigators also linked the murder to a prior altercation in the underground parking garage of a luxury hotel. Video evidence identified the two suspects, who then fled to Ukraine.
