Avdimetaj Transporte GmbH expanded its beverage logistics fleet on June 20, 2026, by putting nine new Renault Trucks D Wide 4×2 vehicles into service in Fahrweid/Dietikon, Switzerland. According to the company, the family-owned business added the trucks to reliably deliver beer, mineral water, and other beverages to retail outlets across the country.

Managing Director Zijadin “Ziki” Avdimetaj received the fleet alongside his team and operations and fleet manager Michèle Salvati. The new units join the company’s established operations in national distribution logistics.

Technical Specifications of the Renault Trucks Fleet

The Renault Trucks D Wide 4×2 models feature an 11-litre engine delivering 380 horsepower. According to vehicle specifications, the automated transmission is designed to ease the workload for drivers navigating stop-and-go traffic.

For trailer versatility, the rear of each vehicle features both a standard CH Rockinger hitch and a 3.5-ton ball hitch. This configuration supports various trailer types, including refrigerated units and fixed two-axle trailers.

ORTEN Fahrzeugbau supplied the custom bodies tailored for beverage distribution. The design includes 18 pallet spaces, a 2-ton tail lift, sliding tarpaulins, and lateral access. For driver safety and comfort, the trucks feature a lateral cornering camera and a Global cab equipped with an onboard refrigerator.

Executive Statements on the Switzerland Fleet Expansion

Zijadin Avdimetaj outlined the operational impact of the new purchase. “With these vehicles, we will be able to transport goods to destinations even more efficiently, quickly, and safely in beverage logistics,” Avdimetaj stated, adding that drivers look forward to the enhanced comfort and performance.

Tarcis Berberat, Managing Director of Renault Trucks (Suisse) AG, noted the partnership behind the delivery. “We are very proud that Ziki Avdimetaj has once again placed his trust in us for this purchase,” Berberat stated, pointing to the collaboration with Avdimetaj and Michèle Salvati to build trucks tailored to the high demands of beverage transport.
