The Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will host the 30th annual DATOS: The State of Arizona’s Hispanic Market event on Monday, September 28, from 7:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the Phoenix Symphony Hall, according to the organization. This year’s program, titled “Environmental Sustainability,” focuses on the intersection of environmental quality, economic growth, public health, and workforce development within the state’s Hispanic community.
DATOS 2026 Economic Findings and National Context
The accompanying DATOS 2026 report highlights demographic and economic milestones for the Latino population in the United States. According to the report, Latinos account for 20 percent of the U.S. population, marking the highest percentage recorded in U.S. Census history. Furthermore, the U.S. Latino Gross Domestic Product reached $4.4 trillion in 2023, a total that outpaces the individual GDPs of nations such as the United Kingdom and France, based on data from the Latino GDP Data Initiative at UCLA.
For three decades, the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has published the DATOS report to document the economic influence of Hispanic communities in the state. What started as a research initiative has expanded into an annual data-driven business gathering that brings together regional leaders to examine long-term community impacts.
Featured Speakers and Environmental Focus
The 2026 conference agenda centers on quality of environment, public health outcomes, and labor force needs. According to the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, featured speakers include Dr. Fariba M. Donovan, associate professor of medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Arizona and director of the Valley Fever Center for Excellence, alongside Edward M. Ranger, an attorney specializing in cross-border environmental law and adjunct professor at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University.
The event also features a panel of subject matter experts discussing current trends in the regional market. In past years, the program has drawn almost 1,300 business and community leaders from across Arizona.
Partnerships and Community Sponsorships
Salt River Project (SRP) returns as the primary sponsor for the event, a role the organization has maintained since 2012. Additional corporate partners include Banner Health and Comerica, with ABC 15 serving as the media sponsor.
The 2026 edition is produced in collaboration with the Vitalyst Health Foundation. Together with the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the foundation utilizes data mapped across 12 social determinants of healthy communities—such as education, economic opportunity, and healthcare—to evaluate community well-being across Arizona.
