Babson Volleyball Defeats Emerson in Three Sets
Eighteenth-ranked Babson College defeated visiting Emerson College in three sets (25-14, 26-24, 25-23) on Tuesday night inside Staake Gymnasium, snapping the Lions’ eight-match winning streak. Sophomores Devon Burke and Ailsa Munro combined for 23 kills to lead the Beavers to their third straight victory in New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play.

Munro and Burke both matched their career highs with 12 and 11 kills respectively. The Beavers hit .244 on the night, backed by sophomore Liberty May with seven kills, three service aces, and three blocks, alongside senior Hailey Fouche with six kills and four blocks. Junior Angelina Holm contributed four kills and four blocks, senior Zoe Ackerman dished out 37 assists, and junior Sabina Frosk matched her season high with 21 digs.
For Emerson, senior Rachel Dickerson registered a team-high nine kills, sophomore Lizi Horning finished with seven kills, and junior Chloe Hokenson contributed 15 assists, nine digs, and six kills. Sophomore Catherine McDonough led all players with five total blocks in the loss.
