Bistro at BAD 2 in Bremerhaven to Reopen Under New Management
The bistro located within BAD 2 in Bremerhaven-Geestemünde will reopen under new management on March 26th, following a temporary closure from March 16th to March 26th. Peter Lay will be taking over the bistro’s operations.
Experienced Gastronomy Operator
Peter Lay brings significant experience to the role, having successfully managed the gastronomy at BAD 1 in Leherheide for over ten years, according to the Bädergesellschaft Bremerhaven. Robert Haase, managing director of Bädergesellschaft Bremerhaven, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating the company is “remarkably happy that we are expanding a proven partnership with Mr. Lay and can now offer our guests a reliable and high-quality gastronomic offer again.”
Temporary Closure for Transition
To facilitate the change in operators, the bistro will be closed from Monday, March 16th, to Thursday, March 26th.

The stated bathing time includes changing time. Additional time will be charged at the next higher tariff rate.
Upcoming Closure for Renovation
BAD 2 will be closed for cleaning and maintenance work from June 22, 2026, to July 19, 2026.
