The platform aims to provide information and support to professionals working with children and young people, as well as those in police, justice, education, and health, regarding child protection.

Strong Networking is Significant

“Strong networking is essential for prosperous child protection. With the new web platform, all information on the topic is available for the first time in Baden-Württemberg, comprehensively and clearly prepared and bundled in one place. With this overall package, we are once again pioneers in Baden-Württemberg,” said Social Minister Manne Lucha.

Central Pillar in the Implementation of the Child Protection Master Plan Strategy

Developed under the leadership of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Integration, the Child Protection Master Plan strategy resulted from a participation-oriented and cross-departmental process involving numerous experts from administration, politics, and civil society.

The web platform is central to implementing the strategy’s 52 measures, consolidating existing information, events, and qualification opportunities related to child protection into a single, accessible location for specialists.

incredibly Many Offers

Social Minister Manne Lucha emphasized, “There are an incredible number of great specialist advice and contact points, offers, information and events on the subject of child protection, which are spread across the whole country. It is our job, also in the spirit of sustainability and resource conservation, that we do not reinvent the wheel everywhere, but rather rely on the excellent offerings we have in the country and make them known.”

This includes the new newsletter on child protection, launched alongside the web platform, which will provide regular updates on events, topics, training courses, and practical examples from the ministry and its partners.

Networking is at the Heart of the Web Platform

With its cross-sector and cross-departmental approach, the web platform embodies a whole-of-society approach to child protection. primarily targeted towards specialists in youth welfare offices, specialist advice centers, and autonomous providers, the platform also specifically aims to facilitate collaboration across sectors and areas, recognizing that successful child protection requires a unified effort.
