A transversal proposal to the world of bagpipes,from the conventional to the modern but with this instrument as the nerve center of the event. This is how it is presented the second edition of the Winter Meeting of Bagpipes ‘Abrigaíta’ which will be held this weekend in Zamora and will serve as an incentive to complement the special Christmas lighting program.
And the event will begin on Friday in the Plaza Mayor to animate with their rhythms the long-awaited lighting of the city’s lights.Afterwards, the five groups that make up the ‘Abrigaíta’ poster will perform a parade through diffrent parts of the city center.

Zamora,Spain,is preparing to host its annual Bagpipe Meeting,bringing together five distinct musical groups for a weekend of performances and cultural exchange. The event promises a vibrant celebration of bagpipe music, extending beyond traditional concert settings to engage the city’s streets and neighborhoods.
The participating groups include The Roleses from Urrós, Portugal; Camín del carmine from Pola de Siero, Asturias; the ‘Beatriz Osorio’ Municipal Music School from Bembibre, León, offering a didactic element to the event; the Madrid-based Celtic Band Toe Lume; and the local hosts, Roncones and Rattles.
