Bank of London Names Tony Bullman as New CEO

The Bank of London has replaced its third Chief Executive Officer in just over a year. Christopher Horne is departing, and Tony Bullman, currently serving as Chief Financial Officer, will take the helm.

Third CEO to Leave in a Year

this marks the third CEO change for the bank in a little over a year. The turnover began with the departure of founder and initial CEO, Anthony Watson, following criticism related to a winding-up order from UK tax authorities over unpaid bills.

Watson was initially replaced by Stephen Bell, who held the position briefly.A £42 million capital injection led by Mangrove Capital Partners then facilitated a change, with bell being replaced by christopher Horne.

Bullman’s appointment comes as the bank continues to navigate a period of significant transition. The bank aims to establish itself as a key player in the real-time clearing, payments, and settlement space.
