Bashkortostan Prioritizes Veteran and Disability Employment in National Project

The Republic of Bashkortostan is demonstrating significant progress in employment initiatives for citizens with disabilities and combat veterans, ranking among the top regions in Russia for job creation within the national “Personnel” project. The region’s efforts are focused on increasing employment opportunities and supporting vulnerable populations.

Key Achievements in 2025

Bashkortostan secured the fourth-place ranking nationwide in the number of jobs created for individuals with disabilities of Groups I and II, as well as for combat veterans. This success is attributed to a 350-increase in the number of enterprises actively employing citizens with disabilities, bringing the total to 9,643 organizations.

The region similarly achieved third place among seven participating regions in temporary employment programs for workers facing potential dismissal. Bashkortostan’s success with the “Mobility 2.0” program, which facilitates employment for individuals relocating from other areas, resulted in over 70 citizens finding jobs through the initiative.

National Project “Personnel” and Regional Support

The “Personnel” national project aims to enhance the employment of citizens across Russia. In Bashkortostan, activities related to this project in 2025 encompassed 78 employers and over 2,000 citizens. The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Bashkortostan has committed to continued collaboration with businesses and organizations to address their personnel needs.

“Activities to stimulate the employment of citizens within the framework of the national project “Personnel” in 2025 covered 78 employers and more than two thousand citizens. Next year we will continue to perform with enterprises and organizations to meet their needs for personnel,” stated Olga Kabanova, Minister of Family, Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Bashkortostan.

Recent Veteran Support Initiatives

In February 2025, the Republic of Bashkortostan launched a personnel project specifically for participants of the Special Military Operation (SMO), titled “Heroes of Bashkortostan.” This program, formalized by a decree signed by the Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, establishes regulations and a Public Council dedicated to supporting veterans. Accessing Military Service Records

Veterans seeking to access their military service records can do so through the National Archives. The National Archives provides information on requesting records online, by mail, or by fax. These records are crucial for accessing benefits and understanding service history.
