Arson Investigation Underway in Jangseong Following House Fire
Jangseong Police Station in South Jeolla Province, South Korea, has applied for an arrest warrant for a man in his 60s, identified as Mr. A, in connection with an arson incident. The fire targeted the home of his employer, Mr. B, allegedly due to a dispute over unpaid wages.
Details of the Incident
On March 9th, authorities responded to a fire at a single-family home in Jangseong-eup, Jangseong-gun. The residence, owned by Mr. B, sustained significant damage, with most of the structure being destroyed by the blaze. Fortunately, no one was residing in the house at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported.
Suspect’s Confession and Surrender
Mr. A is accused of intentionally setting fire to Mr. B’s property after a disagreement regarding 3 million won in unpaid wages. Following the alleged act, Mr. A voluntarily surrendered to the Gwangju Northern Police Station.
Investigation and Legal Proceedings
The Jangseong Police Station is currently investigating the case and has requested an arrest warrant for Mr. A. The investigation will determine the full extent of the damages and gather evidence to support the charges.
