The new cast, including Shay Mitchell, Brooks Nader, Stephen Amell, Noah Beck, Livvy Dunne, and “Yellowstone” star Hassie Harrison, were photographed sporting the demonstrate’s signature red swimsuits while filming action sequences.
A New Generation of Lifeguards
Photos from the set show the stars running on the sand with flotation devices, suggesting dramatic rescues are in store for viewers. Harrison was captured jumping over a surfboard, seemingly rushing to save a life. The cast also posed for group photos with the crew, marking the official start of production.

Mitchell and Nader shared their excitement about the project on their Instagram stories. Mitchell posted photos of the red lifeguard trucks and a selfie in her red one-piece, captioning it, “quick selfie before getting knocked by the waves….” Nader shared images of a lifeguard tower, calling it her “office for the next few months,” and a photo from her trailer, marking her “1st day.”
Former LSU gymnast Livvy Dunne also expressed her enthusiasm on Instagram, playfully stating, “I’m not a lifeguard, but i play one on tv.”
Casting and Production
The Baywatch reboot was announced in September 2025, with casting announcements following in February and March 2026. Brooks Nader, a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, previously shared her anticipation for the role, stating she was ready to “shock people” with her acting ability according to Entertainment Tonight.
A Legacy Revisited
The original Baywatch series aired for 11 seasons, from 1989 to 2001, becoming a cultural phenomenon and launching the careers of stars like Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff, as well as Jason Momoa, Donna D’Errico and Carmen Electra. Electra has publicly stated that Nader is “absolutely” a good fit for the show as reported by Fox News.
