bbno$ and Diablo II Collaborate on ‘Save Me’ Music Video for Reign of the Warlock

Blizzard and rapper bbno$ have joined forces to release “Save Me,” an original track and music video celebrating the launch of Diablo II: Resurrected – Reign of the Warlock, the first major update to the game in 26 years. The collaboration, developed with GUT LA, is a testament to bbno$’s long-standing fandom of the Diablo franchise.

Authentic Fandom Drives Collaboration

bbno$’s passion for Diablo II is well-documented, with the artist having previously incorporated Diablo-inspired designs into his personal website and hosted Diablo II LAN parties for his birthdays. “Diablo II is bar none my favourite game,” bbno$ stated. He described his reaction to learning about the Warlock update as “basically screaming on the Zoom,” and expressed excitement at being asked to contribute a track to the celebration.

Music Video Blends Cinematic Action with Game Lore

The “Save Me” music video features bbno$ embodying the modern Warlock class introduced in the Reign of the Warlock update. The video seamlessly integrates live-action footage with game-inspired animation and references to the rich lore of the Diablo universe, including a nod to the iconic Deckard Cain rap that longtime fans will recognize. According to Ariel Abramovici, CCO at GUT Los Angeles, “This music video was made by fans for fans. We’re not borrowing from gaming culture, we’re embodying it, carrying it through every beat and frame.”

A Fan-First Cultural Moment

The collaboration aims to create a cultural moment centered around the Diablo II community, leveraging bbno$’s significant digital reach and musical influence. The music video debuted globally on March 3 across social and digital platforms.
