Elizabeth Gillies left her followers entirely unable to recognize her this Halloween, debuting a prosthetic-heavy transformation into the goblin character Luke from the 1998 Disney film “Halloweentown.”

A Prosthetic-Heavy Transformation Into 90s Disney Lore

The 33-year-old “Victorious” alumna shared photos of the elaborate disguise on Instagram, sporting a bulbous nose, facial boils, elf-like ears, a checkered shirt, and a red velvet cape. To pull off the uncanny look, Gillies fundamentally altered her facial features to match the iconic fantasy film character. She captioned the Instagram post with the character’s famous line, writing, “I’m something of a big cheese around here,” according to pagesix.com.

In the original 1998 movie, actor Philip Van Dyke played Luke. The character is a goblin who makes a deal with the villain Kalabar to wear a handsome human disguise before ultimately helping the protagonist, Marnie, save the town.

Followers Express Disbelief Online

Followers flooded the comments section in sheer disbelief over the extensive makeup and prosthetic work. One Instagram user commented, “No one has ever been this iconic,” while another added, “My brain actually can’t piece together that this is you.”

A History of Elaborate Annual Costumes

This release follows a string of elaborate annual costumes by Gillies and her former “Victorious” castmate, pop star Ariana Grande. The tradition has seen the duo commit to increasingly niche cinematic tributes each October.

In 2023, the two dressed up as characters from the 1995 erotic thriller “Showgirls.” Going back further to 2022, they channeled memorable roles from the 2000 mockumentary “Best in Show.”
