Belvedere Marittimo Enhances Waste Management with Community-Focused Initiative
Belvedere marittimo is actively improving its waste separation program, demonstrating a commitment to environmental sustainability and community involvement. Ecoross, the local urban hygiene service provider, has begun installing specialized “Ecoboxes” within municipal offices to streamline the separation of recyclable materials, including paper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum, and steel.
This initial phase is designed to establish best practices within local government operations. In the coming weeks, the program will expand to include schools and other public buildings throughout Belvedere Marittimo. Accompanying this expansion will be a series of awareness campaigns specifically tailored to educate and engage younger residents, fostering a sense of duty towards environmental stewardship.
“This initiative represents a important step forward in our efforts to create a cleaner, more sustainable habitat for all residents,” stated Mayor Vincenzo Cascini. Deputy Mayor Francesca Impieri added, “By making recycling more accessible and promoting education, we aim to significantly increase participation rates and reduce our environmental footprint.”
dr. Simone Turco, Head of ecoross Urban Hygiene Services, emphasized the long-term vision, stating that the program is designed to “strengthen good practices, improve the overall urban environment, and actively involve the entire community in building a more sustainable future.”
The implementation of the Ecobox system and accompanying educational programs underscores belvedere Marittimo’s dedication to responsible waste management and a thriving, environmentally conscious community.
