WTW Launches Bid Manager Roles Across the UK

WTW, a global leader in risk management, insurance brokerage, and advisory services, is expanding its Outsourcing team with Bid Manager positions across multiple UK locations. These roles, based in London, Redhill, Leeds, Glasgow, or Edinburgh, offer a unique opportunity to contribute to the company’s growth and leverage expertise in bid management and sales operations.

Role Overview

The Bid Manager will oversee the delivery of WTW’s Bids function, encompassing pitch presentations and site visits for prospective clients, as well as engagement with Trustees and Third-Party Evaluators. The position requires close collaboration with Business Development, Client Management, and other senior stakeholders to drive impactful results. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing bid management activities to ensure high-quality, compliant, and compelling submissions.
  • Leading complex and strategically important bids as the primary contact.
  • Implementing best-practice bid and pipeline management, integrating with wider sales operations and design businesses.
  • Maintaining a knowledge base of bid content and continuously improving it.
  • Supporting pitch presentations and site visits for new business opportunities.
  • Ensuring governance, compliance, and quality standards across all bid activity.
  • Developing strong internal relationships to align bid strategies with client needs and business priorities.
  • Supporting broader sales activities, including events, award submissions, and market research.

Qualifications and Experience

Successful candidates will possess significant experience managing the full lifecycle of bid activity, including pitches and site visits, ideally aligned with the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) principles. Essential skills and qualifications include:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
  • A quality understanding of pension administration services and current industry trends is preferred.
  • The ability to work at pace, maintain strong organization, demonstrate commercial awareness, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, positive approach.
  • A commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality, client-focused outputs.
  • APMP qualification is desirable.
