Red Wings Fall to Mammoth in Recent NHL Matchup

The Detroit Red Wings experienced a defeat on home ice, losing 4-1 to the Utah Mammoth in a recent National Hockey League game on December 18, 2025. Despite a goal from Emmitt Finnie in the third period, bringing the score to 2-1, the Red Wings were unable to overcome the Mammoth’s lead.

Marco Kasper skated in the game but did not register any points. This loss marks only the second regulation defeat for Detroit in their last ten games.

Currently,the Red Wings hold third place in the Eastern conference wiht 41 points. The Utah Mammoth occupy the ninth position in the Western Conference standings.
