Authorities in Guatemala City have recovered the remains of two individuals buried in a wooded area connecting San José Pinula to the San José residential areas. The revelation was made during the early hours of Saturday, January 10, 2026.

The bodies were found approximately three meters (nearly ten feet) below the surface and were reportedly wrapped in sheets. Due to an advanced state of decomposition, immediate identification was not possible.
