Surakarta Palace Museum Employees Expelled
Solo, CNN Indonesia — Dozens of employees of the Cultural Preservation Center (BPK) Region X Central Java-DIY were expelled from the Surakarta Palace Museum in Central Java on Saturday, December 13.
The incident occurred while high-ranking officials from the Traditional Council Institute (LDA), supporters of SISKS Pakubuwana XIV Mangkubumi, were in Jakarta fulfilling an invitation from the Ministry of Culture.
Aldila, one of the BPK X employees, stated the incident happened as he and his team were conducting revitalization and conservation work at the Surakarta Palace Museum.

Suddenly, several unidentified individuals entered and ordered them to leave. The employees refrained from confrontation and instantly departed the museum with their team.
“Several people we didn’t recognize forced us out,” Aldila said.
