The couple married in Brazil on October 10, 2026, before embarking on a European trip that included a visit to the Vatican. During a lunch at a local restaurant on Wednesday, Amanda consumed shrimp and other seafood, according to statements her husband provided to the Brazilian newspaper Metropoles. Her brother-in-law told the Brazilian news outlet G1 that Amanda was allergic to shrimp and believed restaurant staff had told her the dish contained only fish.
