man Admits to Drowning Wife in Hot Tub

A British man has admitted to drowning his wife in the outdoor hot tub in their backyard last November after the pair spent an evening out, then lied to police about finding her unconscious in the water.

On Tuesday, December 9, Andrew Georgiou, 44, pleaded guilty to murdering his wife Carol Georgiou on November 2, 2024, during a hearing at Aylesbury Crown Court, according to BBC,Bucks Free Press, birmingham Live and People.

Georgiou admitted to the court that he drowned 42-year-old Carol in the outdoor jacuzzi in the yard of their home after they returned from a night out.

He then waited approximately 40 minutes before calling 911 to report the incident at their home in Milton Keynes – a city about 50 miles (80 kilometers) northwest of London – and on Tuesday admitted he lied when he told dispatchers he had gone outside to find his wife deceased. Georgiou will be sentenced on March 6,2026.
