Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are set to embark on a spring 2026 tour, kicking off March 31st in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The tour, dubbed “Land of Hope and Dreams,” will notice the band performing across the United States, concluding on May 27th in Washington, DC.
Springsteen recently discussed the impetus behind the tour in an interview with the Star Tribune, stating that the E Street Band “is built for hard times” and that these are moments when they can offer “real value and real worth to the community.” He also emphasized the critical nature of the current political climate, drawing parallels to 1968, a time he described as another moment when the country felt “on edge” and “so much at stake as far as who we are and the country we want to be.”
A Musical Rebuke
Springsteen has positioned the tour as a musical response to the current political landscape, specifically framing it as a rebuke of a second Trump administration. A recent tour promo released by the band explicitly states their mission: “hope over fear, democracy over authoritarianism, the rule of law over lawlessness, ethics over unbridled corruption, unity over division, and peace over war.”

Springsteen on Taking a Political Stand
Acknowledging potential backlash for his political stances, Springsteen told the Star Tribune he remains committed to expressing his views. “My job is incredibly simple: I do what I want to do, I say what I want to say and then people receive to say what they want to say about it,” he stated. With 60 years of experience, Springsteen added that he has “developed a pretty thick skin” and remains confident in the band’s identity and purpose.
Springsteen also performed at a rally in St. Paul, Minnesota on Saturday, March 24, 2026, and will return to Minneapolis on March 31st to kick off the tour with the E Street Band. The Star Tribune reported that Springsteen stated, “You want to try to meet the moment.”
