Bulgaria Reaches agreement on 2026 Budget
Finance Minister temenuzka Petkova and representatives from business and trade unions have reached an agreement on the key elements of bulgaria’s 2026 draft budget.it’s a significant step forward in the country’s financial planning.
“another meeting between the government, colleagues from parliament, all political parties supporting the government, partners from employer organizations and trade unions has ended,” Petkova stated. “Thank you for the extremely constructive dialog. Today we can say that trade unions, business, and government have reached an agreement on the main parameters of the draft budget for 2026.”
The discussions were reportedly very productive. It seems all parties involved were willing to compromise. “We had extremely fruitful work, as a result of which we can say that the union, business and government reached an agreement on Budget 2026,” Petkova added. Yesterday,they held a meeting to find common ground and ultimately reached a compromise on all contentious issues.
