BukSU Expands IT Partnerships with Animation, Game Development, and Post-Production Studios

Bukidnon State University (BukSU) has strengthened its industry collaborations within the Information Technology (IT) sector through a series of Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) signings and a renewal of an existing partnership in February 2026. These agreements aim to provide expanded internship opportunities for students in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) and Bachelor of Science in Entertainment and Multimedia Computing (BSEMC) programs.

New Partnerships Forged

On February 9, 2026, BukSU signed an MOA with Emottoons Animation Studio, located in Lapu-Lapu City. The agreement, signed with Philmore Amodia, CEO and Founder of Emottoons, will create opportunities for students specializing in animation and multimedia production. Emottoons, founded in 2009, specializes in 2D cartoon animation and has evolved from simple illustration projects to producing marketing videos and animated music videos .

The following day, February 10, 2026, BukSU formalized a partnership with Infinity Hub in Davao City. Michael Angelo A. Bernales, Marketing Supervisor of Infinity Hub, signed the MOA, further strengthening BukSU’s ties with the IT industry in Mindanao.

On February 12, 2026, BukSU entered into an agreement with GridLock Games in Pasig City. The MOA was formalized with Patrick Odale Roxas, CEO and Executive Producer of GridLock Games, opening avenues for students interested in game development and interactive media.

Existing Partnership Renewed

BukSU also renewed its Memorandum of Agreement with Rocket Sheep Post Production Inc., represented by David Liongoren, Owner and Director. This renewal reinforces the ongoing collaboration and continued provision of industry immersion opportunities for students.

Facilitation and Coordination

The MOA signings and renewal were facilitated by Louie Jay S. Labastida, IT Internship Coordinator, and Marilou O. Espina, EMC Internship Coordinator. They led discussions and formalized the agreements with representatives from each industry partner.

These partnerships will provide students with hands-on industry experience, real-world project opportunities, and professional mentorship in IT, animation, post-production, and game development.
