Port Royal Golf Course Weather Delays Final Round
High winds forced tournament officials to reduce the Butterfield Bermuda Championship to 54 holes on Sunday, leaving third-round co-leaders Austin Smotherman and Seamus Power to decide the winner in a Monday morning playoff, Golf Channel reported. Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda, encountered wind gusts reaching up to 50 mph during the PGA Tour event, prompting the cancellation of the final 18-hole round in accordance with tournament regulations.
