Canadians Qualify for Olympic Freeski Slopestyle Final

Two Canadians will have a chance to compete for medals in women’s freeski slopestyle at the Winter Olympics.

Megan Oldham was seventh in qualifying and Naomi Urness was eighth on Saturday, earning spots in the 12-woman final at Milano Cortina 2026.

Oldham, from Parry Sound, Ont., has three career medals in slopestyle at the world championships. She was 13th at the event in her Olympic debut in 2022.

Urness, from Mont-Tremblant, Que., is competing in her first Olympics. She’s coming off a second-place showing in slopestyle at the Winter X Games.

Canadians Skye Clarke and Elena Gaskell did not qualify for the final.

Switzerland’s Mathilde Gremaud posted the best qualifying score, while Chinese star Eileen Gu was second.
