Black Country comedians Celeste Dring and George Fouracres shine on Saturday Night Live UK
Comedians Celeste Dring and George Fouracres, both hailing from the Black Country region of the West Midlands, have joined the cast of Saturday Night Live UK, the British adaptation of the iconic American sketch comedy display. The duo, who grew up minutes apart and attended the same school before studying at Cambridge University, are part of the 11-member ensemble bringing the transatlantic format to life.
Their involvement marks a significant milestone for regional talent, with both performers expressing a mix of excitement and nerves about the live format. Fouracres, from Willenhall, described his debut as “a dream job” and “a terrifying step into the unknown,” particularly noting the intensity of stepping onto the studio floor knowing the show would go live in just five minutes.
