Albany Park Shooting Leaves One Dead, Two Injured

A shooting in the Albany Park neighborhood of Chicago on Saturday, February 28, 2026, resulted in one death and left two others hospitalized. The incident occurred in the basement of a home in the 4900 block of North Harding Avenue.

Details of the Shooting

According to Chicago police, the shooting took place around 2:52 p.m. Three men – a 24-year-old, a 29-year-old, and a 34-year-old – were shot by an unknown offender as reported by ABC7 Chicago.

The 24-year-old man sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released by authorities as noted by WGN-TV.

The 29-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound to the foot and was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in fair condition according to the Chicago Sun-Times. The 34-year-old man was shot in the calf and transported himself to a hospital, as well listed in fair condition.
