Announcement of ‘2026 Chungcheongbuk-do Local Civil Service Appointment Test Implementation Plan’

1,336 new air defense personnel hired, an increase of 434 from the previous year

[문학모 기자] In order to select 1,336 new local public officials this year, Chungcheongbuk-do announced the ‘2026 Chungcheongbuk-do Local Public Official Appointment Test Implementation Plan’ through the provincial website and local government Internet application center on February 13.

The number of people selected by rank is 3 grade 6, 9 grade 7, 82 grade 8, 1,209 grade 9, 14 researchers, and 19 instructors. By rank, there are 437 administrative workers, 317 facility workers, 121 social welfare workers, 72 nursing workers, 37 industrial workers, and 36 agricultural workers.

In order to expand the advancement of socially underprivileged people to public positions, we plan to separately select 93 people with disabilities, 28 people from low-income families, and 5 people recommended by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, and 27 people who are expected to graduate from specialized high schools or Meister high schools.

This year’s exam will be held a total of three times, starting with the veterinary and veterinary research serial career competitive appointment exam in March, followed by written exams for grades 8 and 9 on June 20, and grade 7 and research/instructor exams on October 31.

Those who pass the written test will be determined within 120% of the number of candidates scheduled to be selected.

This is a 10% point increase in scale compared to previous years, and is a measure to expand the interview test candidate pool (POOL) to comprehensively verify job capabilities and development potential and select a wide range of excellent talent.

The head of the provincial personnel innovation department said, “The selection scale, which has significantly expanded compared to the previous year, is a result of the increase in people scheduled to retire or take leave, the expansion of manpower to promote national policy projects such as integrated care, and the unfilled demand in the civil engineering and construction fields.” He added, “We will do our best to select talents with a spirit of service to the residents, creative thinking, and excellent capabilities.”
