For many people, becoming pregnant unplanned at 19 is anything but desirable. The unemployed “hard and warm” Lena, on the other hand, is full of joy.
Lena has not been part of the RTLZWEI social documentary “Hartz und Herzen” for long. But since her first appearance, the 19-year-old citizen’s benefit recipient has been sharing the most intimate details of her life with viewers. In the current episodes from Rostock, she not only shows off her new boyfriend, but also experiences a rollercoaster of emotions: she believes she is pregnant.
Lena’s boyfriend is already a father and doesn’t want to have another one: “Don’t let me bring a new child into the house. A newly born child is a lot of effort and a lot of budget.” After all, the citizen’s benefit recipient is heavily in debt and doesn’t have a job. But everything looks like an unexpected pregnancy.
19-year-old citizen’s benefit recipient is hoping to get pregnant with “Hartz and warmly”.
“I’m two weeks overdue, I’ve had constant nausea and abdominal pain for five days,” says Lena on “Hartz and warmly”. However, in addition to the possible pregnancy, there is another suspicion. “It could also be because of stress that I got a cyst,” says the citizen’s benefit recipient.
She has had a cyst four times and was even operated on once because of it. The 19-year-old is hoping to get pregnant – she is generally having difficulty getting pregnant because of her endometriosis. As unplanned as a baby would be, it is clear to the “hard and heartfelt” protagonist that an abortion would be out of the question.
The couple’s hopes and fears don’t help, Lena takes a pregnancy test. She disappears into the bathroom and leaves the camera crew and her boyfriend waiting anxiously. After a few minutes she returns dejected: the test was negative, the citizen’s benefit recipient is not expecting a child. The 19-year-old takes what makes her partner happy. She would have been happy about a possible pregnancy. (str)
