Clark County Prepares Election Workers and Ballots Ahead of November 3
Voters who have not yet cast their ballots must drop off mail-in votes or vote in person by November 3, 2026, according to the Clark County Department of Elections. Mail ballots must carry a postmark dated on or before November 3, 2026, to be counted.
Since early voting began, residents have cast 220,021 in-person votes across Clark County. Voters can locate active polling places and mail ballot drop boxes through the Clark County Department of Elections.
August Training Sessions Prepare County Employees for Voting Operations
Preparation for the general election started months in advance. The Clark County Department of Elections began training election workers on August 5. Between that date and October 24, officials held 304 training sessions that totaled more than 1,500 training hours.
Roughly 270 county employees representing 38 different departments participated in the instruction. These workers are staffing polling locations throughout the region, while another 120 county employees are scheduled to work election night at the warehouse.
Tuesday, November 3 is Election Day. Polls will be open from 7am-7pm for people wanting to vote in-person. Vote center locations will also accept completed mail ballots. We simply could not do what we do for our community without the dedication and support from our county employees,
said Lorena Portilla, Clark County Registrar of Voters. Portilla noted that staff members respond without hesitation to help facilitate safe elections, adding that training covers how to identify issues of concern.
Drop off or Mail Ballots by Election Day
Voters still holding mail ballots can place them in the mail by Election Day or drop them off directly at a polling location. The Clark County Department of Elections will continue processing mail ballots with valid postmarks in the days following November 3.
Voters who received direct contact from the Elections Department regarding their mail ballot can resolve the issue by visiting the ballot cure information portal to complete the necessary steps.
