The Meisterkonzert-Abo MK 1 concert series for the 2026/27 season brings eight distinct musical programs spanning over 200 years of music history to the stage, featuring renowned orchestras, international soloists, and prominent conductors. The season opens on September 26, 2026, with the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz under the direction of Michael Francis.
Opening Night and September 2026 Programme
The opening concert on September 26, 2026, features pianist Anna Vinnitskaya performing alongside the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz. The evening includes Richard Strauss’s “Till Eulenspiegel’s Merry Pranks,” Béla Bartók’s Piano Concerto No. 3, and selections from Sergei Prokofiev’s ballet “Romeo and Juliet.” Michael Francis leads the orchestra for the season kickoff.
Autumn 2026 Orchestral Highlights
The Jenaer Philharmonie performs on October 22, 2026, conducted by Simon Gaudenz. Violinist Arabella Steinbacher joins the orchestra to interpret Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3. The programme also includes Antonín Dvořák’s “Othello” Overture, Franz Schubert’s “Unfinished” Symphony, and Dvořák’s “Scherzo capriccioso.”
On November 25, 2026, pianist Alexander Gadjiev performs Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1. Conductor Gintaras Rinkevičius leads the orchestra for an evening that also features Johannes Brahms’s Symphony No. 3.
Winter and Spring 2027 Concerts
The Stuttgarter Philharmoniker perform on February 2, 2027, under the baton of Alexander Liebreich. Violinist Viviane Hagner joins the orchestra for Giuseppe Verdi’s “Nabucco” Overture, Ludwig van Beethoven’s Violin Concerto, and Schubert’s Great C Major Symphony.
On March 20, 2027, the Staatsorchester Rheinische Philharmonie marks a tribute to the 200th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven’s death. Conducted by Marzena Diakun, the concert features pianist Elisabeth Leonskaja performing Beethoven’s “Coriolan” Overture, Piano Concerto No. 5, and the “Eroica” Symphony.
The Stuttgarter Kammerorchester takes the stage on April 15, 2027, featuring musicians Susanne von Gutzeit, Jeroen Berwaerts, and Alexander Melnikov. The ensemble performs works by Felix Mendelssohn, Sergei Prokofiev, and Dmitri Shostakovich.
Season Finale in Summer 2027
The Romanian Symphony Orchestra, led by conductor Gabriel Bebeșelea, performs on May 5, 2027. The programme features Bartók’s “Romanian Folk Dances,” Niccolò Paganini’s Violin Concerto No. 1 with violinist Elli Choi, and Mendelssohn’s “Italian” Symphony.
The subscription series concludes on June 17, 2027, with the SWR Symphonieorchester under the direction of Matthew Halls. Swedish clarinetist Martin Fröst joins the orchestra for Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto, followed by Beethoven’s “Pastoral” Symphony.

Single tickets for individual concerts go on general sale starting Monday, August 17, 2026. Tickets can be purchased at the Tourist-Info & Ticket-Service locations in Villingen at the Franziskaner Kulturzentrum and in Schwenningen at the railway station, as well as through Kulturticket Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg pre-sale outlets.
