Veolia Towers Hamburg Lose to Bahcesehir College Istanbul 105-68
The Veolia Towers Hamburg suffered a decisive defeat against Bahcesehir College Istanbul, losing 105-68. Despite a promising start, hamburg struggled to maintain a consistent defensive presence throughout the game. Devon Daniels led Hamburg in scoring with 22 points.
Benka Barloschka: “We began the game strongly and established a good offensive rhythm, particularly in the first quarter. However, we failed to build defensive stability throughout the season. Bahcesehir shot a high percentage of two-point shots, and we weren’t consistent enough defensively. We’re currently facing a challenging period with several players sick or missing. At this level, itS instantly apparent when players aren’t at 100 percent. I’m not satisfied with our defensive performance today.”
Devon Daniels: “When the opponent finds their rhythm and goes on a run, we need to tighten up our defence and force consecutive stops.”
Ross Williams: “We started well today. Bahcesehir is a very detail-oriented offensive team, and their pick-and-roll plays are complex, which we struggled with. We need to improve our pick-and-roll defense and play more physically to prevent them from easily reaching the basket. but as a team, especially with key players absent, I think we fought well until the end.”
The Veolia Towers initially played with speed and freedom in a sparsely populated arena.Hamburg maintained a good pace and managed to take the lead early on.
