CM Punk Names Eddie Guerrero as the One Wrestler He Can’t Claim to Be Better Than
World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk recently participated in a game of “stay silent until you hear a better wrestler than you” with Bleacher Report, revealing a profound respect for the late Eddie Guerrero.
Punk remained silent when presented with the names of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Brock Lesnar, John Cena, The Rock, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels. Still, he immediately spoke up at the mention of Guerrero, stating, “I can’t pretend that I’m better than Eddie Guerrero.”

Notably, with the exception of Shawn Michaels, CM Punk has faced each wrestler mentioned in one-on-one competition throughout his career.
This acknowledgment comes as Punk prepares for a highly anticipated and deeply personal showdown with Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42 next month. The feud between the two has been described as particularly heated and real, building anticipation for their upcoming match in Las Vegas. Punk has also recently taken shots at Reigns, Triple H, and other figures within WWE.
The rivalry between Punk and Reigns has been escalating, with a recent confrontation on Raw where CM Punk left Roman Reigns speechless on March 2, 2026. Their history dates back to 2012 when The Shield debuted at Survivor Series to help Punk retain his title.
