BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg: Branding, Marketing, and Communication Guidelines
Brandenburg Technical University Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) provides comprehensive support to its members for communication and marketing efforts. This includes guidance on corporate design, logo usage, website development, press work, and social media strategies. The university’s Communication and Marketing department offers tailored packages to meet specific needs, ensuring consistent branding and effective outreach.
Logo Usage and Brand Protection
The BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg logo is legally protected. University members may use the logo in connection with their professional duties at the BTU. However, any alterations to the logo’s form, font, or color are prohibited, as is the removal of any of its elements. The logo must be used exclusively in its approved form. Distribution to third parties is not permitted, and commercial use requires written approval from the BTU’s Communication and Marketing department. Before printing or otherwise publishing any materials featuring the BTU logo, the final layout must be submitted for prior approval to the same department.
Plakatrahmen (Poster Frames) Usage Guidelines
The BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg provides poster frames for use by university entities, including faculties, student organizations, and external companies. Private individuals are not permitted to use these frames. Events advertised must be held at or be directly affiliated with BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. Advertising products or services generally requires approval from the Communication and Marketing department.
Poster frame allocation is managed by the BTU’s Communication and Marketing department. Frames are distributed based on demand, with the department making the final decision. The maximum display duration is seven days, starting on Thursdays. Exceptions require approval. Frames are designed for DIN A1 posters (594 x 840 mm), though DIN A2 or A3 posters may be accommodated with appropriate securing measures (using residue-free adhesive tape). Smaller formats are not allowed.
Users are responsible for installing and removing their posters within the specified timeframe and are liable for any damage caused during installation or removal. Any damage to the frames must be reported immediately to the Communication and Marketing department. Use of the poster frames constitutes acceptance of these guidelines.
Corporate Design Resources
Resources related to the BTU’s corporate design, including logo downloads, are available to BTU members via the university’s intranet. The Communication and Marketing department also provides support to Sales Managers and Media Consultants.
