Concorezzo's "Concoween" Halloween Festival Draws Hundreds of Families

Hundreds of children and families packed the center of Concorezzo for the third edition of Concoween on October 31, 2026, turning the town’s streets into an open-air stage for Halloween festivities. Local shops reported full participation in traditional events, while organizers highlighted a coordinated community effort involving local merchants, the municipality, and volunteers, according to ilgiorno.it.

The afternoon kicked off at 15.30 as masked children filled local storefronts for the traditional trick-or-treating route, according to concorezzo.org. Merchants welcomed young participants to showcase local neighborhood commerce. Concurrently, Via De Capitani hosted themed games, while Piazza della Pace featured a terror trail designed to test the nerves of attendees.

Activities Across Town and the Zombie Escape at Villa Zoja

Beyond the main streets, the town library offered themed readings aimed at children aged five to eight. Nearby, the local Alpine association prepared a steaming afternoon snack alongside a giant witches’ cauldron. One of the afternoon’s most popular attractions was the “Zombie Escape” adventure staged among the trees of Villa Zoja, which paired children with their parents for a high-intensity dash organized alongside the Concorunner group.

The daytime events flowed directly into evening programming, with local venues hosting themed aperitifs and late-afternoon gatherings. The festivities concluded with a horror film screening at the municipal library.

Community Collaboration and Official Response

Mauro Capitanio and Councillor for Productive Activities Gabriele Borgonovo stated that the festival showcases the creative energy of the town and reinforces community ties across generations. Matteo Terzoli, president of the Concorezzo Merchants Association, added that local businesses function as vital community hubs rather than simple retail spaces, pointing to Concoween alongside related initiatives like Occasioni di Passaggio and Anteprima Natale.
