We have just entered 2026 and, again, Cristina Pedroche has once again become the protagonist of the moment after taking the sweet grapes with all the Spaniards during the Chimes 2025-2026 which she presented, one more year, together with Alberto Chicote.
After 12 years sharing this special programming with us, the Madrid native has managed to waiting to discover the dress she is wearing under the cape has become a tradition, causing thousands of households in Spain to speculate-and then debate-about the look that you have chosen to start the year. And it was at 11:58 p.m. at full speed when Pedroche discovered her dress.
To say goodbye to 2025 and welcome 2026, Pedroche has once again become the queen of New Year’s eve, closing a cycle that has been reflected in her styling with the help of Josie. For more then a month we have been talking about this moment, 12 grapes that we took, 12 years and 12 dresses, which have been found in one.
A solidarity ‘look’ with the Spanish association Against Cancer
Every year, Cristina collaborates with a social project to create the concept of her dress and, for these Campanadas 2025-2026, she has had the Spanish Association Against Cancer to send a message about the importance of support and accompaniment. And, for this purpose, the woman from Madrid contributed cape-sculpture and a dress created from real fragments of all the previous dresses.
coinciding with her twelfth anniversary saying goodbye to the year in front of the cameras, the dress for this occasion has been made as a double message: on the one hand, on gratitude to the loyalty and trust of all the people who throughout this time have allowed him to enter their homes and share with them such a special night; and, on the other, in recognition of the work that the Spanish Association Against Cancer It is indeed carried out to support and accompany people with cancer and their families and to promote cancer research.
“I wont to dedicate this dress to all the people who have supported and accompanied me since I was offered the frist opportunity to say goodbye to the year and who have turned the Chimes into the most transformative experience of my life Of all the metamorphoses I have undergone in the last 12 years, this has been the hardest of all. It was necessary to do a very deep introspection to say yes to this dress because it has a very big impact. It is indeed a dress loaded with symbology and that has a lot of me, but with which very crucial parts have also gone that my memory will always remain attached to.But in life, we are constantly forced to change the way we perceive things or even ourselves, to adapt and move forward,” said cristina Pedroche.
As responsible for the creative direction of styling by Cristina Pedroche for the Chimes 2025 is back in place Josie, to whom his career in the world of fashion, artistic sensitivity, inspiration, personal universe, know-how and experience supporting and accompanying her over the last 11 years made her the only person with the ability to formalize both the professional challenge of cutting and sewing and also the high personal component involved in putting together a anthology in body and soul of the different dresses that Cristina has worn throughout his annual appointments with the audience as his first time in 2014.
“This scrum of unfulfilled desires, of elements that are part of the collective memory of millions of viewers, comes to celebrate 12 years of outfits f
## Cristina Pedroche’s 2024-2025 New Year’s Eve Dress: A Retrospective of past Looks
Cristina Pedroche’s annual New Year’s Eve dress has become a highly anticipated tradition in Spain, and her 2024-2025 ensemble is no exception. This year’s creation, designed as a tribute to her past looks, is a complex and deeply personal design incorporating elements from previous years, alongside a powerful message of hope and remembrance. The dress is a masterful collage of past designs. Chains of rhinestones originate from Olivier Bernoux’s headdress, which adorned her pigtail in 2020. A tulle waterfall on the left side is reclaimed from the train of Tot-hom’s dress, worn when she said goodbye to 2018.Significant sculptural elements feature prominently. Golden breasts and a visible buttock are an exploded view of Jacinto de Manuel’s sculpture *VenusMMXX*, created in 2019 based on pedroche’s own body. Manuel also covered the *Dove of Peace* – originally a top from 2022 – which now crowns a chalk pink taffeta bustle taken from a 2017 cape. The dove’s outstretched wings symbolize a continued yearning for peace. Scattered flowers, originating from the dress she wore to ring in 2019, have been customized with fabrics from other editions. A wing, created by BUJ Studio, extends from the neck, originally designed to accompany Manuel Piña’s 2021 dress. A circular patch is sourced from the refugee tent coat worn in 2023, designed by Garaizabal studio, representing solidarity and support.
The interior of the dress also features recycled elements. Embroidery from the boots worn in 2021, created by Johan-Luc Katt, now adorns the hips of a mini dress. This dress recreates a necklace of stars and chains, inspired by the pectoral design of a blue velvet bustier from 2016. This necklace connects to a tiara framing Pedroche’s face, crafted from the mask she wore during the 2020 pandemic, topped with feathers from Vivas Carrión’s helmet. milk drop crystals from her 2024 look, created with her own breast milk, are distributed throughout the ensemble.
In keeping with Pedroche’s commitment to a “barefoot” philosophy, the sandals were custom-made to respect the anatomy of her feet, prioritizing health and natural movement.
