Crystal Palace Secures Temporal as New Shirt Sponsor Amid Gambling Ban Shift
Crystal Palace FC has announced a landmark partnership with software infrastructure company Temporal, marking a significant shift in the Premier League’s approach to shirt sponsorship as gambling brands face increased regulatory scrutiny.
The Transition from Net88 to Temporal
The Eagles have replaced their previous shirt sponsor, Asian betting firm Net88, which held the position since 2024. Temporal, a U.S.-based technology firm, will take over as the club’s main sponsor starting with the 2026-27 season. This move aligns with the Premier League’s upcoming voluntary ban on front-of-shirt gambling partnerships, set to take effect in the 2026/27 campaign.

The deal underscores a broader trend among Premier League clubs, with 11 teams needing to find new sponsors ahead of the regulatory change. Net88 will remain on the club’s kits for the remainder of the current season, including the Europa Conference League final against Rayo Vallecano.
Temporal’s Rise in the Tech Sector
Founded in 2019, Temporal has rapidly grown into a key player in the software infrastructure space, particularly in AI development. The company was valued at $5 billion in February 2026 after securing $300 million in funding led by venture capital giant Andreessen Horowitz. Its cloud platform is utilized by major organizations such as OpenAI, Netflix, JPMorgan Chase and Vodafone.
As part of the multi-year agreement, Temporal’s logo will appear on both the men’s and academy teams’ kits. The company also plans to collaborate with the club’s Palace for Life Foundation to deliver computer science and AI workshops for young people in South London
