Colorado State Rams Appear to Continue Winning Streak Against Fresno State Bulldogs

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State Rams men’s basketball team aims to extend its five-game winning streak on Tuesday night against the Fresno State Bulldogs. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. MT on Dollar Beer Night at Moby Arena.

Rams Riding High

Colorado State (17-8, 8-6 Mountain West) extended its win streak to five games with an 83-74 victory over San Diego State on Saturday. The Rams showcased offensive efficiency, connecting on 13 three-pointers and shooting 82.8% from the free-throw line. Carey Booth and Jase Butler delivered career-high scoring performances with 22 and 25 points, respectively. Brandon Rechsteiner also contributed significantly with 16 points, including five three-pointers in the second half.

Farokhmanesh’s Impact

First-year head coach Ali Farokhmanesh is making his mark on the program, achieving 17 wins so far. He is two wins away from tying Richie McKay (1998-99) for the second-most wins by a first-year coach at CSU, trailing only Larry Eustachy’s 26 wins in 2012-13.

Jevin Muniz continues to be a versatile force for the Rams, contributing five points, seven assists, seven rebounds, and two steals against San Diego State. Pascarelli earned his honor after scoring 26 points with eight three-pointers against Colorado on December 6, 2025.

NCAA Tournament and Transfer Success

Colorado State secured a second consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2024-25, marking their third appearance in four years. The Rams’ 26 wins in 2024-25 tied for the second-most in program history. They also welcomed the best transfer portal class in the Mountain West in 2025, ranking 61st nationally.

NBA Draft Representation

Nique Clifford became the fourth player in program history to be selected in the first round of the NBA Draft in June, being the 24th overall pick by Oklahoma City (with his rights traded to Sacramento). Fresno State enters the contest after an 80-78 loss to New Mexico on Saturday. The Bulldogs are 12-15 overall and 6-10 in Mountain West play. Fresno State’s offense is led by Jake Heidbreder (17.7 ppg), DeShawn Gory (13.2 ppg), and Zaon Collins (11.8 ppg), who account for 54.6% of the team’s scoring and 63.2% of their assists.
