A Late-Night Confession
Gondík recounted to Honza Dědek’s talk present that after an evening where a man had made advances toward him, he returned home and jokingly told his wife, “Markét, I’m probably warmer.” Markéta’s reply was simply, “I know.”
Years of Speculation and a Lighthearted Approach
Gondík has acknowledged being aware of the ongoing rumors throughout his life and has chosen to address them with a sense of humor. He joked that his wife likely knew all along, observing that she “saw that I was desperate, that all kinds of men were trying on me… Well, that’s the way it is, but it’s really not my fault.” He playfully added that men have been attempting to explain to him since puberty what a man needs, implying a woman couldn’t understand.
A Long-Lasting Marriage
Despite the ongoing speculation, Gondík has been married to Markéta for nearly three decades, and they are parents to a son, Theodor, who works as a barista. The couple first met while working at Evropa 2 radio station, where Markéta broadcast on weekends and Gondík hosted the morning show.
