One person is dead and two others sustained injuries following a late-night road rage shooting in the Fair Park neighborhood of Dallas, according to the Dallas Police Department.

The shooting occurred at approximately 11 p.m. on Thursday in the 4500 block of South Fitzhugh Avenue, according to police reports. Investigators determined that four men were traveling together when a road rage incident escalated into gunfire. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while two others were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Hospital officials reported that one of the surviving victims was in critical condition, while the second sustained non-life-threatening injuries. A fourth occupant in the vehicle escaped the incident without physical injuries and provided an initial account of the altercation to responding officers.
