Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray has been selected to participate in the NBA All-Star 3-Point Contest, adding to his All-Star weekend commitments. The contest is scheduled to take place Saturday night in Los Angeles as part of the festivities.
Murray is enjoying a career year from beyond the arc, currently shooting 43.2% on 3-pointers while attempting a career-high 7.5 three-point shots per game. His notable shooting form makes him a strong contender in the competition.
He will be joined by a competitive field of seven other players, including damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers, Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns, Kon Knueppel of the Charlotte Hornets, tyrese Maxey of the Philadelphia 76ers, Donovan Mitchell of the Cleveland Cavaliers, bobby Portis Jr. of the Milwaukee Bucks, and Norman Powell of the Miami Heat.
The last Denver Nuggets player to participate in the 3-Point Contest was Chauncey Billups in 2010. Murray aims to surpass Billups’ performance and bring home the trophy for the Nuggets.
